OscarBrygga offers holiday homes as well as semi-detached houses located right on the water with stunning sea views. There are also well-equipped aluminium fishing boats of various sizes and the fishing area is known for its large pollock, coalfish, cod and halibut. This is a truly original fishing location as they are meant to be in Norway. Call it old skool, call it charm, it is authentic because you are not going to find 100 guests and 20 boats here. At this location you still get to relax and there is a good chance that you will only meet other fishermen after a day of fishing.

As the owner Magnus is the son of a professional fisherman, he knows the region like the back of his hand and will gladly provide you with additional information and current hotspots. He has been running this fishing location for more than 25 years and is very proud of his company. And with good reason, because this is a real traditional fishing location as they are meant to be in Norway. Personal, good accommodation and top fishing. It doesn't get any better than this! Three weeks is not enough to fish all the spots here. The large group of islands directly off the coast provide shelter in case of less favourable weather but also to the many species of fish you can find here. In an area of 25 kilometres, the depths reach from 1 to 420 metres. You can imagine that during the tidal periods it is teeming with hunting fish here.

The extreme structures make this a perfect spot to fish for pollock, cod, coalfish, ling, tusk, halibut, catfish, halibut, redfish and so on. Around every corner of every island there is already a new hotspot waiting. And the distances are not too crazy and since there are few other fishing camps nearby and commercial fishing cannot go here due to the shallows, the fishing pressure here is low.

On the outer edge of the fishing grounds is the island group Traena where within a distance of less than 100 metres the depth plummets from 20 to 200 meters. Along these spots, serious coalfish and redfish are good to catch. Here you are going to have a fantastic fishing trip.

You have a choice of accommodation types here. There are Rorbuer, the Konferansehus and the Nordlandshusen. All accommodations are suitable for 4 to 6 people and have a wooden terrace with garden furniture right by the shore, and you won't find a better view of the sea and the setting sun.

The Rorbuer have a living area of 40 m2 where there is room for up to 4 people. There are two bedrooms with bunk beds each.
The Nordslandhusen are semi-detached houses with a living area of 60 m2 and room for up to 4 people. There are two bedrooms with two single beds each.
The Konferansehus is the largest house with a living area of 65 m2. It can accommodate up to 6 people. There are a total of three bedrooms with bunk beds each. This holiday home has 2 bathrooms.

The houses have a fully equipped kitchen with cooker, oven, fridge with small freezer, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, dishes, cutlery and wifi. There is also a living room with dining table and a bathroom with shower and toilet. You can also use the sauna and/or hot tub for a small fee. For freezing caught and filleted fish, there is a large freezer available with a spacious filleting area with running water.

For fishermen who come as a duo, we can offer an interesting package here. They also have two-person studios here. A spacious living room with two single beds and a separate shower/toilet combination. Furthermore, a small refrigerator to keep your drinks cool and a coffee maker. And this studio can be booked in combination with a full board arrangement. So then you only have to fish and sleep. Super easy for 2 people also favorably priced.

Besides the houses and boats, this location also features a good restaurant serving genuine Norwegian meals. The restaurant is open from May to September. In high season on all days and outside that on request. Here you can eat really good food at prices that are not too crazy for Norway.

You can choose from as many as four different boat types here with a total of 8 boats. All are perfectly suited for fishing at this location.

The boats are made of aluminium and have a centre console. In addition, they are equipped with GPS, fish finder and gaf. And the engines are all fuel-efficient 4-stroke models. For fishing, we recommend a maximum of 4 people per boat. There is a petrol station in the harbour where you can pay with credit card or alternatively with cash.

Travelling to Oscarbrygga can be done in several ways:

Option 1 is by ferry and own car. From Oslo it is a 1250 kilometre drive which takes around 15 hours of travel time. Of course, we can assist you with booking of any desired ferry crossing.

Option 2 is to fly via Oslo and Bodo to Mo I Rana airport. From there, it is a further 115-kilometre drive by rental car. And for those who love a scenic drive, it is also possible to fly to Bodo and from there drive to the location by rental car in 4.5 hours through the beautiful Nordic landscape.
